3 We Build Bots Real Life Chatbot Examples

To better understand how our AI technology is used across different industries we have 3 We Build Bots real life chat bot examples for you to look into

The 60s gave us the Beatles, the Civil Rights movement, the Summer of Love, and many other groundbreaking developments and revolutions. What many don’t know is that this is also the era in which chatbots were born.

In 1966, German computer scientist Joseph Weizenbaum developed ELIZA. The program was designed to trick users into thinking they were having a real human conversation – in fact, ELIZA was supposed to be a therapist! You can understand why a technology that could ask questions (albeit open-ended) and provide follow-up responses was so exciting at the time.

Jump forward to the current year, and you likely encounter chatbots daily –– chatbots that can answer considerably more complex questions than ELIZA could.

Businesses are increasingly integrating AI technology into their websites as a customer service-enhancing tool. Of course, today’s chatbots are more sophisticated than ELIZA, and you don’t necessarily need to be an MIT professor to build one. The We Build Bots platform allows you to intuitively create your organization’s ideal chatbot with basic training and a few simple clicks.

If this sounds too good to be true, perhaps you need to see some chatbots in action. To better understand how our AI technology is used across several different industries and just how effective and engaging conversational AI can be, we’d like to share some examples of the chatbots we’ve helped our clients create.

PFP Energy

PFP Energy is a community-centric not-for-profit energy supplier. Owned by the UK Housing Association, PFP Energy helps users keep energy bills low by enabling easy switching, simplified tariffs and billing, and easy account management. The goal is to help people save money and ensure that the management of energy expenses is easy and convenient.

And that’s where our chatbot comes in...

Upon entering the site, you’ll find Eddie in the lower right-hand corner. He’ll ask what you need help with and provide you with a range of options that relate to the likely queries users may have, such as meter readings, relocation issues, billing, payments, emergency assistance, and even energy-saving tips. Suppose you have a problem that Eddie doesn’t have listed in his cues. In that case, he’ll try to get more specific since his creators have identified the most common scenarios where users may feel that their query is not particularly standard. Eddie’s a pretty serious guy. He does, after all, deal with payments and the important business of keeping homes lit and warm. When he can’t decipher your query, he’ll ask whether you want to speak to someone (a human) and proceed to take your contact details so that someone can assist more directly.

It’s easy to see how Eddie makes things convenient for users. Instead of dialing in and going through various departments, clients can quickly self serve and use Eddie’s prompts to get information or support on typical queries – at any time of the night or day.

Prostate Cymru

Health concerns are a prevalent topic, and organizations increasingly recognize the helpful role that AI can play in assisting patients quickly, discreetly, and efficiently. Prostate Cymru supports men on the many difficult issues surrounding prostate disease and prostate cancer, and it does so by offering education, treatment, equipment, and funding for research. The charity specifically assists men in Wales to give them access to the best available treatments locally.

We Build Bots is proud to have played a part in creating the Prostate Cymru chatbot, which works around the clock to help men get the information and support they need. The chatbot runs through a symptom checker that allows individuals to gauge their prostate health and take actionable steps towards the proper diagnosis and treatment. Since prostate health is a sensitive topic, the chatbot provides a convenient and discreet way for men to learn more about their health and, sometimes, even take lifesaving measures.

A.S. Roma

A.S.  Roma is one of Italy’s best-loved football clubs. Established in 1927,  the team has won infinite awards, and its players continue to represent Italy in international games. The club has some of the world’s most passionate fans – fitting for an Italian team – and it takes great care to maintain an interactive and engaging profile with its global supporters.

Roma’s chatbot is called Botistuta –– football fans will get this one. The bot sits on the Facebook app and is an excellent example of how this AI works incredibly well across different channels. The purpose of the Roma bot is to engage with fans and involve them in the spirit of this historic brand. Visitors can rely on Botistuta for the latest results, book tickets, purchase merchandise, or find out more about their favorite team members.

By using a chatbot on a social media platform, Roma can have meaningful interactions with fans on the channel they’re most likely to use. This shows a great understanding of the club’s audience and helps to assist fans through one easy-to-use medium. It’s a great marketing tool and a highly efficient way to provide supporters with the essential info they need to stay up to date with all things Roma.

ELIZA, although a sophisticated lady for her time, has evolved significantly. But. while chatbots still cannot replace humans, they can offer support, information, and genuinely useful ( sometimes life-saving) advice. The key to a successful chatbot lies in its design and its suitability for the challenge it’s intended to solve.
