Digital assistants and chatbots are revolutionising the way that nonprofit organisations operate, providing a wide range of benefits that can help to improve efficiency, extend reach, and make a bigger impact in their respective communities.

Logicdialog has been used by a number of charities and not for profit organisations like social housing providers. Here are some of the use cases we’ve seen from customers like Prostate Cymru, Amnesty International, Sport Wales, and Network Homes… If any of these use cases spark your imagination,
please do get in touch!

Stakeholder communication
One key area where digital assistants are being used to support the third sector is in providing information and answering questions. A growing number of nonprofit organisations are now using chatbots to provide information to their stakeholders, whether that's donors, volunteers, or the general public. This not only saves time and resources, but it also helps to improve the overall user experience, making it easier for people to find the information they need and engage with the organization.

Our client Amnesty International used their Facebook Messenger chatbot to share campaigns, update users on new or existing causes, and to publish news from within the organisation.

Facilitate donations
Digital assistants are also being used to facilitate donations and other forms of financial support. With just a few simple clicks, users can now make a donation or sign up to become a monthly supporter, all through the convenience of their own device. This can be especially beneficial for organisations that rely on small, individual donations to fund their work.

Amnesty International integrated Paypal into their bot to streamline the donation process.

Event planning and management
In addition to facilitating donations, digital assistants are also being used to help with event planning and management. By providing information about upcoming events, coordinating registration, and even offering directions to the event location, digital assistants can help to make the process of organising and attending events much smoother and more efficient.

Sport Wales used their chatbot to encourage users lacking in confidence to join community sports initiatives to help them grow an understanding of the activities available to them.

We’re hoping our new chatbot will drive engagement with the OurSquad campaign even higher. We launched Our Squad in August to help inspire, empower and encourage more women and girls in Wales to get active and give sport a go, regardless of their current fitness level. We’ve already seen some great engagement. The new chatbot is all about helping women and girls find their perfect sporty match, making it easier than ever to join in.

Highlighting volunteering opportunities
Another way that digital assistants are supporting the third sector is by providing guidance on volunteer opportunities and coordinating volunteer efforts. Whether it's through a chatbot on the organisation's website or through a messaging app, volunteers can easily find out about opportunities to get involved and sign up to help out.

Information and updates
Finally, digital assistants are being used to disseminate important information and updates to stakeholders and the general public. Whether it's through automated emails or notifications sent through a messaging app, digital assistants can help to ensure that everyone stays informed about what's happening with the organisation.

Our client Prostate Cymru used their chatbot to support people who were concerned about Prostate Cancer or about a fried or family member that displayed symptoms. A quick symptom checker bot ran through a series of questions before presenting the user with the relevant information and additional support services.

Overall, the use of digital assistants and chatbots in the third sector is on the rise, and it's clear that these tools are having a big impact. From providing information and facilitating donations to helping with event planning and coordinating volunteers, there are many ways in which digital assistants can support the work of nonprofit organisations and make a difference in their communities.
